How many ingredients??

Welcome back to In Jamie’s Kitchen! Today, I’m excited to share a recipe that holds a special place in my heart. These biscuits, originally dubbed “3-ingredient Sprite Biscuits,” have a bit of a backstory. While they actually contain four ingredients (oops, sorry butter!), the debate sparked by the name became a real controversy in the comments when I first shared the video. One commenter pointed out, “everybody knows butter doesn’t count as an ingredient in southern cooking.” So, let’s just call them “3-ingredient biscuits,” shall we?

Risk it for the Biscuit

I used to make these biscuits when my daughters were little, but they somehow slipped off my radar until recently when Haley brought them up. It was a sweet reminder of how these biscuits were a part of our family meals. I realized I had to share them with you all. However, I must warn you, they’re so delicious that overeating is a real risk!

I used to make these a lot but then I totally forgot about them. My daughter asked why I never posted a video for them so here it is. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in a baking dish in the oven while the oven preheats to 400°. Combine 2 cups Bisquick, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup Sprite. Stir until combined. Roll or Pat out the dough. Cut into circles or be like me and cut into squares and then make them into circles. It really doesn’t matter what shape you use, they will still taste good. Put the biscuits in the baking dish on top of the butter. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Enjoy them while they’re hot. Try adding a tsp of garlic and some shredded cheddar for a whole different flavor. #biscuitrecipe #homemadebiscuits #easybiscuits #spritebiscuits #3ingredientbiscuits

It’s only 3 ingredients. The butter is NOT incorporated into the biscuits. The biscuits are laid on top of the butter for baking. By the way, I had the Greek Yogurt and Lemon Lime Soda (Best Choice) and these were wonderful. Going to have one or two in the morning with peanut butter, I’m thinking

I made these a little bit ago and had roasted chicken breasts to make hot chicken gravy sandwiches. They were so so good and super easy. I didn’t have sprite so I used ginger ale. Super result!

well maybe if I wouldn’t have double the recipe it would have worked. I used all the bisquick the 1st time. didn’t have any left to make it not so wet… tried flour big fail.. I ended up putting the blob in the oven… TBD how the taste is 😆
